The Rivers commissioner for housing, Mr. Gift Worlu, has resigned from the administration of Governor Fubara,, citing some reasons. Remember that the commissioner is the second to resign after the education counterpart threw the bowel. Come, let me show you the two major reasons he cited.
In a letter addressed to Governor Fubara, through the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, Worlu cited a “toxic” work environment, as well as the alleged attempt to merge the executive and legislative arms of government as his reason for resignation.
His letter states, “I write to formally resign my appointment as the Honourable Commissioner of Housing.
“One of the most difficult decisions in my life yet, it is precipitated by the toxic atmosphere that has characterized our working relationship, especially the smoldering arbitrariness of decisions and actions, including the attempt to fuse the executive and legislative arms of government in Rivers State.
“I thank you for the opportunity to serve in your government and wish you the best as you continue to steer the ship of state.
”Kindly accept assurances of my esteemed regards.”
